I've had my DS lite for years now, and recently i noticed the top screen flashing in bright green and purple, and occasionally all colors becoming their opposite (Blue becomes orange, etc). A couple months back, part of the hinge chipped offright beside the power light. It's still attached and still works, because it's in a case, but I read somewhere that there are wires inside the hinge that go to the top screen, which could be the cause of my problem. I'm not sure if this information is correct, but it's all I have as of now. Another thing i noticed is that when I play Pokemon Black or SoulSilver, anywhere there's a shadow it turns bright green or orange.

3DS Transfer Over Internet

I'm spending my summer out of state and I left my 3ds at home. I'm thinking about getting an 3DSXL.

Will I be able to transfer my purchases from my 3DS back home to a new XL over the internet?

I would have someone back home handle the trasfer on that end.

Pokemon Black: Unable to play in DS Lite

Nintendo DS Lite works. I have test it with several other games.

Pokemon black works in 3DS. However, my ds lite does not recognizes it when I plug it in.

I got the DS lite from ebay. I got Pokemon Black from ToysRus.

Anyone has any idea what might be wrong?

My DS Lite's D-pad and L/R buttons work on occasion

Hey, I just wanted to say that my D-pad is sticky and same with my L/R buttons. To get them to work, you have to press excessively hard on the buttons. Some assistance or useful links would be helpful. Thanks in advance

Multiple Issues with DSi XL as well as 3DS (not reading games)

Ok here is the problem... My 3DS started having a few problems (which I will talk about in a moment).. these problems became too much to deal with so I had to give up on my 3DS for a while since I did not have the money to send it in for repairs... sooo I bough a used DSi XL and it was great for a while... but then I started having problems with this DSi... I'm just going to address the DSi XL first...

DSi XL:

Problem:

*** The system has a difficult time reading most games... particularly any of the newer pokemon games (ex. Black, White, Black 2 and White 2)

* Note that the system does read games some of the time... and it typically will display that there is a game in the slot but I'd say about 50% of the time with in 10-20seconds of starting the game it will either A. Lock up and I have to restart the system B. I get the "An error has occured..." message or C. Once in a great while I will get a message that says the save data couldn't be read and to restart the system (the save file is fine because I have been able to make the game work for short periods of time.

* I noticed that these problems are much less frequent with slightly older games such as Pokemon Diamond or Pearl.

* The easiest way to get the game to work was to wet the metal on the game it self... usually meaning i would just lick the game ( I know its weird but it always worked with my old cartridge home system such as my SNES and N64)

Other Info:

***Other then this issue the system seems to work fine. All games that are installed on system work perfectly fine.

*** All of my games I have used on this system are authentic nintendo products.. I've checked.. and I bought all of them brand new on the release date of them all... Sooo the odds of me having a counterfeit copy are practically zero.

*** I have tried updating the firmware and have done so successfully... but no change

*** I formated the memory on the system and then tried to play the game... no change.... I then updated my system a second time and again no change.

*** I have never used any non-nintendo products of any kind on this system (No Action Replay, Game Shark or any form of ROM filled cartridges)

*** I took a flashlight and looked in the slot itself and all of the pins seemed to be in the correct position.

*** I'll admit that when a game is inserted it does not make the "click" sound like every other ds I've ever used.

3DS:

Problem:

*** The system has a very similar problem to that as the DSi XL above.... though it definitely isn't as severe as the other system.
*** The biggest problem with this system is that it constantly tries to scroll in a certian direction (it isn't always the same direction)

***I have sort of figured that the issue has to do with the circle pad... because, lets say that the system thinks that it is being told to go left... I can press the D-pad in the right direction and it will stop the scrolling and I can navigate with the touch screen.

*** Like the DSi XL above I have never used any non-nintendo products on the system

*** All the pins are straight as an arrow and as far as I can tell they are clean and free of dust,grime and corrossion.

*** The problems with this system started almost immediately after I started playing Pokemon Rumble Blast on it

*** I tried formating and updating the memory with no change.

This is really irritating... I just want to play my dang Pokemon Black 2... It just seems like every DS I touch self destructs....

I feel like there must be some form of fix for this that doesn't require me sending it in to nintendo... they want $80 to fix it... and that is only true if the problem I chose on their troubleshooting section is correct... I only paid $70 for the system so there is really no point in paying $80... at that price I would be better off trying to sell the system as is for parts and just save a bit and buy a new one..... I really just hope I can fix this thing... I just got it last week and it's going to be a bummer if I got screwed with a bum system.

3ds connects to the internet but now laptop and iphone won't

We recently set up my son's 3ds to connect to the internet via our linksys router. It is working fine and we've been able to download games, etc. But now our laptop and iphone won't connect wirelessly. Before we only had one choice of connection, linksys. After enabling the 3ds we now have two connection choices, linksys and linksys_WPS_9976 I am assuming that the second choice is the 3ds but I don't know. We've tried pushing the router button, turning off the 3ds wireless connection, but nothing's worked so far and it's quite maddening. Any suggestions? When I try to connect to the WPS connection it asks for the network security key, of which I have no clue. Thanks for any help.

Ds lite question

Hi. I have a question about the Ds.

Back in 2007-2008, I had gotten a Ds Lite As a surprise, a few months later, my sister got one too, and I was told I should replace my gaming system after 5 years, dunno why.

And now, 5 years later, Touch screen kind of non-responsive, even though I calibrate it a few times a month, and some.. white stuff stuck between the screen edges, and places that are in corners. It might seem disgusting, but really, I've tried cleaning it off. It's stuck there. I'm a clean person, too.

Also, my sister's nintendo is a complete rubbish. Her game slot is broken, the bottom screen has a piece of tissue stuck INSIDE the screen... don't ask me how that happened. I have no idea. And the bottom screen is VERY irresponsive.

Her game slot, I have no idea how it broke. Maybe she shoved the game inside too hard.

And from all this... My battery can last about 2 months without recharging, open, and No exaggeration.

My question is, from all this, do I have to replace my nintendo every 5 years? And can Ds lite games work on the 3Ds With WPA wi-fi?

And official nintendo seal of quality -- I have a nintendo game, and only one, from 2009. but my older ones are only official nintendo seal.

And so is some of my newer ones, that don't have this seal.

It has the same nintendo plastic logo in the back of the card and same stuffs. including the letters in the bottom left.

Oh and, it's a circle shaped seal, and it has the same gameplay and everything. And I got it from Superstore and it was in plastic covering.
