Full Range RGB support in latest system update?

I was just wondering if, in addition to the overscan support, is the Wii U now able to display in Full Range RGB color as well? I've heard some programs have now fixed their blackness levels (such at Netflix) such as when displaying dim scenery. I just wanted to confim if this is true.

Pokemon Black: Restarting C-Gear freezing game problem (3DS related?)

Upon booting the game and loading the save file, the game asks whether you want to have C-Gear activated. Selecting "Yes" and the game loads the file normally, with C-Gear active (the signal is green with three bars connection).

Now when disabling the C-Gear from within the game, it pretty much turns off the C-Gear from within the game. If played on a 3DS, the Wi-Fi light is still on but stops blinking. When it comes to re-enabling the C-Gear from within the game, however, the game takes a very long time to load or connect the C-Gear (the signal bar is red with no bars). The Wi-Fi light remains lit and does not blink to indicate any communication. No error messages are given either way: There are no timeouts while connecting, and the game is effectively frozen unless hitting the HOME button and quitting or soft resetting the devise (L+R+Start+Select).

Before connection comes into question, the routers are properly configured and an extra access point had been added just for DS (WEP) wifi connections. It is assumed the unit is using the main routers access point as it had been confirgured to be the primary connection source. As a test, when C-Gear is active and online, Game Sync works perfectly and all other online functions (such as Ranked Battle) are flawless, and all other 3DS functions are functioning smoothly. Restarting the C-Gear is the main issue of this post.

I recently got a new 32GB SD Card, this time with a Class 10 rating. It seems to have solved all of my "Message being marked as read" problems and all of the slow loading times. Even sending messages has gotten speedier with the higher Class SD card. So my guess it that SwapNote's performance is entirely dependent on your SD Card's Class rating.

Re: Swapnote takes forever to get a message after someone sends it

This seems to be more of an SD card issue. I suggest getting a new SD Card with a Class 10 rating if this were the case. I also suffered from a similar problem in that messages would download very, very slowly and that messages would take a a few moments (more like a minute) to be "marked as read". I had Spotpass Delivery On but the message would take a long time to download. This was all resolved once I upgraded from a Class 4 (read/write speed average 4MB/s) to a Class 10 (read/write speed average 10MB/s) SD Card. I also noticed that messages get saved and sent quicker with the higher Class rated card.

If it's the speed at which you get a notification, then it could be your internet connection too. Be sure to have Home Menu notifications switched to "On" on the Settings screen to get the Blue Lights.

If you are using an SD Card other than the one Nintendo provided, then check the SD Card's Class rating (data transfer speed). Chances are you are using a Class 4 or lower SD Card.

I had a 32GB Class 4 SD installed on my unit and SwapNote would take forever to download and mark messages as being read. I recently acquired a newer card of the same capacity, only this time Class 10 and it has solved all of the loading issues.

Both the Wii and 3DS folders and files should remain in the same directories they were prior to transfering.

While the former is not really required with regards to data transfer, it obviously helps in case you do run into problems like errors, or you just came from buying a brand spankin' new SD Card only to find it "wont work".

Re: Moving data from one SD card to another.

Here is the safest (and hopefully quickest) way to get stuff transfered without losing any data:

Go to the SD Card Association's website and download the latest SD Card Formatter from their website (lowest left button for Windows, lowest right for Mac).

Install the program on your computer. After doing so, insert your brand new SD card into the SD Card slot and run the SD Card Formatter.

On the topmost left hand side is the "Drive" selection (the one that says "B:","D:","E:","F:", etc. whatever alphabet). Select the appropriate drive that corresponds to your SD Card slot (If you SD card slot is Drive "S:" then choose "S:" by clicking on the drop down menu).

On the bottom right (on top of the "Exit" button) is the Options. Click it, and on the "Format type" option, click the drop down menu and choose "Full (Overwrite)". Leave the "Format Size Adjustment" setting to "Off".

Click OK to exit the Option Settings menu. (If you want to name your SD card, you may choose to put one on the box beside "Volume Label:", but make sure not to leave any spaces. Otherwise just leave it blank.)

Click Format. Wait for the SD Card Formatter to complete formatting. It usually takes a couple of minutes. Usually more the bigger the capacity...

After the confirmation screen pops up, click OK. And select Exit from the SD Card Formatter program on the bottom right.

Now create a new folder on your Desktop. Name it "3DS" or whatever is easiest to remember.

Now onto the SD Card on the 3DS:

Make sure to Power Off your 3DS before taking out the SD Card. Do not leave it in Suspend Mode. It must be powered off completely.

Saftely eject you brand new SD Card from your computer and insert the SD Card you were using for your Nintendo 3DS. Then open the root directory of your SD Card drive.

Now select all the items in the SD card and Copy them to your new folder in the Desktop. Once again this takes a while.

Now saftely eject your old 3DS SD Card from your computer and insert the new SD Card you just formatted in. Keep the old SD Card for backup.

Open your new folder in the Desktop and again copy the entire contents from it. Do not copy the new folder itself! You need the directories Nintendo 3DS and DCIM, and whatever else is in there to be copied onto the root directory of the brand new SD card. Paste the contents to the new SD Card. Again this takes time so wait for it to finish completely.

Saftely eject the new SD Card and insert it into your 3DS. Power your 3DS back on and see if your menu boots up correctly. Try some 3DSWare software to see if everything is functioning properly.
