If you get one, make sure they are the official nintendo cables, cause there are many 3rd party cables of lower quality.

There is the Wii Component Cables that make the resolution 480p than 480i. Other than that, there is no cord to make the resolution better.

The Wii only has a certain graphics capacity and output for the TV. However, you can adjust the output like this:

The "EDTV or HDTV (480p)" option is not available unless a Wii Component Video Cable is connected to the console.
