If you go to your local game store, you should find a DSi charger that supports up to 240 VAC input. They work with US DSis just fine. Otherwise, you should be able to buy one on the internet. For example, Amazon has one made for US outlets but supports a range from 110V-240V, and can be used in European outlets with an adapter:

http://www.amazon.com/Rapid-Home-Travel-Charger-110-240v-Nintendo/dp/B0028V0RY8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1329121648&sr=8-1

Oh, and the US adapter you got with your DSi is probably toast now, since you plugged it into a 230 V power source.

Bought Nintendo DSi in USA - now lives in Denmark

So, here's my story:

Two years ago, I was temporarily living in the USA. During my stay there, I bought a Nintendo DSi (since they're much cheaper over there than they are in Denmark, it seemed like a great idea), and I've had a great time using it since. I forgot about it around a year ago, and just recently found it once again. It's a great machine, but I've found that, since the voltage in our outlets are different from those in USA, it doesn't recharge properly. First, off the recharge light blinks. I've checked the support page, and it told me that my battery most likely had lost its power, which used to happen around the 500th recharge (I've recharged it around 50 times). So, before buying a new one, I just wanted to check here to see if anyone has any other idea. Our outlets in Denmark are rather different from those in USA. The shape is very different. This isn't a problem though, since I have adapters that work fine. However, the problem is the voltage in said outlets. We have 230V in our outlets, compared to the 120V of USA.

So, my question is, does anyone know of any way to acquire a 230V recharger for a Nintendo DSi bought in USA? Or should I rather check whether the problem is an old battery?
