Do you mean it was set to WPA, or that you just set it to WPA?

Platinum and every other DS game other than Black and White don't support WPA. They only support WEP.

If you can, change the security to WEP, and use the given key as your key.

But do note, changing this will require you to change the wireless settings of everything else you own. Computers connecting via Wi-Fi, a Wii, a phone. Everything. Also note that WEP isn't that secure, but it's decent.

Try routerlogin.com.

Username is admin, password is password or admin.

Look for something like Wireless Settings (maybe under the Setup label).

You should see your WEP key somewhere around there.

Assuming you are using Windows, open up a command prompt and type the following:

ipconfig /all

This prints out a bunch of information about your network adapters. Find the adapter you use to connect to the internet. Then find where it says "Gateway." Next to "Gateway" will be the IP address of your router (it will look something like 192.168.0.1, but a little different). Type that IP address in your browser's address bar.

When I type in the number you gave me in internet explorer, it says "internet explorer could not display the webpage", and on firefox, it says"The connection was reset."

Nevermind, the security PIN is for Wifi Protected Setup (WPS). You must have used WPS to connect your other Wireless devices.

Neither, he means the model number of your router, like Netgear WNR2000 or something.

However, the security PIN may be your WEP key....

I mean the model number, like MR313, WGM124, etc. The list of Netgear model numbers are here.

Usually, you just open a web browser and type 192.168.0.1 in the web browser's address bar. Then you can get in and change settings such as the WEP key.

If you have other wireless devices in your house, you would have had to enter the WEP key to connect those devices....
