Connecting Wii U with Wi-Fi that requires username / password

I am at a university and in order to connect to the internet I have to login with my username and password as shown in the image below.

I tried connecting with using the Wii U but it only allows me to enter a password. Is there a way to connect to it with username/password? Both my Macbook and my iPod Touch can connect just fine, and if my iPod Touch can connect then the Wii U should be able to as well! I was really looking forward to using the internet capabailities of my Wii U at the university and I will be very disappointed if it doesn't work!

Wii U HDMI signal not recognized by my TV

Alright so as a preface I have been through plenty of google searches through forums with other people who have the same problem. The TV is not seeing the HDMI signal from the Wii U.

I was using the cable that came with the Wii U so I used it on other HDMI machines like the Apple TV and the Xbox 360 and it ran fine.

To see if the Wii U was the problem, I took my old Wii's RCA A/V composite cable and used that to see what I would get. The Wii U was on and running the introduction sequence so I sync'd my gamepad and setup the wifi (which was it's own problem) and updated the system to the latest version hoping that there was maybe a fix from Nintendo's side. It still did not work.

I will also say that when I use the Wii U's "TV settings" and switch from "Non-HDMI" to "HDMI" it says it is unable to connect to my TV and that I should make sure that it is, in fact, powered on.

And that is the story of what brings me here.

Any ideas or suggestions? I going to say that being on a tight budget, buying a good component cable for the Wii U would be a pain.

Wii U hangs in Home Menu after tapping "Download Management"

Hello,

I purchased ACIII about 3 hours ago and my Wii U was on standby, downloading the game. When I hit the Home Menu and tap Download Management, nothing happens. The system is still running, the clock is still ticking on the right hand corner, but it has been like this for over 10 minutes. I think it just soft froze. I'm not sure if it's downloading the game anymore and I'm afraid to even unplug the system for fear that I'd have to download the game all over again or it'll corrupt the system.

What should I do...?

Wii u Friend list issue and online play not working for any games i own

so i was playing the wii u online last night then woke up today it wont allow me to check my friend list says cannot connect to server error code 101-0502 did the steps for that one still not working then i tried to go online in network mode for mh3u and resident evil revalations and got the same error code seems there is a slight issue with nintendo network i called customer service did the whole rundown with them and issue is still not resolved in the end i was told to wait a day and hope its fixed if not give them a call again.maybe if theres someone else here who has had or is having the issue and got it fixed could tell me how i could go about doing the same

Wii U Virtual Console SNES Wii Remote question

Games like Kirby Super Star and Super Metroid on Wii U's VC details page lists controllers that make your "experience more enjoyable" and it lists the Wii Remote/Wii Remote Plus. My question is can I use the Wii Remote/Plus for these games with no attachments. (Just the Wii remote by itself. I was mainly wondering so I can play Multiplayer with gamepad / Wii Remote.

Wii U save files for downloaded games

Does anyone know if you keep the same save files for a downloaded game as its retail copy? I had Nintendo Land at launch but also want to download it for when I go to friends and family's houses without having to drag along a bunch of discs. If I do this can I still use the same save as my disc copy?

Wii U is freezing after update Help!

my Wii U has been freezing so much after the update. I've even made a video of when it happens. It's getting so annoying now, I can't stand it. I mainly happens in the main menu after exiting applications.

Wii U please wait...stuck at menu after 3.0.0 update

I am having a problem with my Wii U after the 3.0.0 update. When I close out a program and go back to the menu I get a "please wait..." notice, from there it stays. I waited about 30 minutes and it just stays stuck. It's not a total freeze, I can switch screens but otherwise nothing happens, none of my apps load either, no miiverse upper screen either, just my mii shows up. It just stays on "Please wait..." I have to hold the power button to get the system to shut down and start again. I did not have this problem before the 3.0.0 system update. I decided to test some things before coming on here. What I found was that it only occured when a disc was in the drive. If I took the disc out, I never had a problem and in fact, I never even got the "Please wait..." message. I also tried various discs, I have five. I tried various programs to close out of. Same story. Disc in. "Please Wait..." stuck. Needed to power off, Disc out...no problems at all.

I owned this system on launch day. Since then I've only had one other real problem with it. Occasionally discs give me Invalid Disc ? errors. Sometimes those discs would load fine in the Wii U menu. Other times, invalid disc message. But the games themselves always loaded properly and played properly. The discs are not the problem. Something is wrong with either the disc drive or the wii u OS. I have no idea. I checked online and many people said pull the power cord for about 20-30 seconds. Indeed, that did seem to fix it. But then again, standard powering off and powering on sometimes fixed it too. A wonky problem that some others have had although not many. Now after the last update previous to 3.0.0. I never had an invalid disc error again. Not once. After installing 3.0.0 I got one invalid disc error. I pulled the plug did the usually 20-30 seconds thing. Now the system is no longer giving me the invalid disc error. While I get the please wait... message, It only stays on for about 2-3 seconds rather then being stuck. I never got a please wait... message before the 3.0.0 system update when I shut down a program with a disc in the drive.

Normally I would think my disc drive might have a problem, but I sort of don't think so in this case, because after the last update, the one previous update prior to 3.0.0 I had no disc drive problems. No invalid disc errors, no please wait... messages stuck or not stuck. So if I had it before the previous update and after the 3.0.0 update and the update affects the system. That tells me, something software wise is causing this, perhaps the OS is having a problem. But that is just a guess. I really don't know.

So I am curious is this problem normal, is there any suggestions what I could do to avoid/fix/remove this problem, has anyone else had it. It's more then just annoying, I'm shutting down a system when it is saying please wait... which can be dangerous and damaging I would assume.

I included a photo of the please wait... problem during an actual freeze, sadly I didn't take one of the invalid disc error and those are hard to replicate, I wish I did. Let me know any info. Thanks.

EDIT: Just to add my Wii U is a Deluxe Black Edition. I don't have a USB hard drive connected. I do have an SD card in but while testing my problem. I took that card out and it didn't seem to have any effect on the problem good or bad. If there is any other info you need let me know.

Wii U won't connect to the internet

I got a Wii U recently and it connected to WiFi just fine but today i turned it on and got an error code: 102-2107. In my system settings it says im connected just fine but the home menu says im not.I cant access miiverse or go online on any games. I haven't found any help online or on nintendo.com. anybody have any ideas?
