I was just wondering does it support directx11 because square enix stated that FF and KH3 uses directx11 and that the wiiu doesn't support it.. but the thing is that kickstarter project stated that they will be using directx11 on the wiiu..?
um i just said " Does the wiiu support directx11" That's what those games using..
And as I said, neither of those games were planned to be coming to the Wii U in the first place
So whether or not it supports DX11 is irrelevant.
But if you must know, yes, it supports DX11.
The indie game Candle is coming to Wii U and it uses DX11 shaders
Wii U nor does the upcoming PS4 support DX11 as that is owned by Microsoft. Last I heard PS4 is using a toolset called OpenGL which the latest version supports DX11-like features. Nintendo has gone with another type API which the name eludes me, but supposedly supports up to what could be considered DX10.9. I think the only thing that was missing is cloud streaming.
For an easier understanding of my psychobabble look to Project CARS which is being developed for PC first from scratch using DX11 and is being ported to consoles including Wii U and Slightly Mad Studios has claimed we're not going to see the difference between the two versions. As mentioned above Candle is anothe DX11 heavy game though I don't think it started with DX11 in mind. Oh that reminds me another PC game coming to the Wii U that started from the ground up as a DX11 game is the spiritual successor to Eternal Darkness called Shadow of the Eternals.
