I have a Netgear WNAP210. I can connect just fine with WPA2-PSK using the Advanced setup option, but I want to connect with WEP in order to use DS functions in-game.
If I create a BSSID that is Open with no encryption, and statically assign an IP address, I can connect and use DS functions in-game. However, if I enable WEP 64 or WEP 128 on that BSSID, I get "unable to connect to access point" with an error of "051300 -2". I can see the DSi connect to the AP in the AP logs as well as the monitoring page, it shows it connecting on the G network, and shows some received bytes transferred, but 0 transmitted bytes.
Also, and this is less important, if I set up a BSSID that is Open, but attempt to use DHCP, I get this error:
Unable to obtain an IP address. Error code 052000 -2.
DHCP is being served out by Windows Server 2008 SP2. I've had no issues with any other devices (Windows 7 machines, OS X, Roku boxes, Motorola phones, etc.) gettting an address from DHCP.
make sure the spi firewall is off and the channel is set to 1 or 11.
