Re: what systems can you get coins from?

I registered both my Wii and DS, and all I got was the 90 warranty extension. Can you get coins from registering systems?

I never have heard a definite answer to that question.

Oh well, the warranty extension is good enough for me. I buy lots of games from nintendo anyways.

Re: what systems can you get coins from?

Taken from the Club Nintendo FAQ:

Systems

  • Wii
Wii consoles released after May 9, 2010, that include both Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort, are packaged with an insert that includes PIN that can be used to register the bundled software. Wii owners can also register the serial number for their newly purchased system and receive a free 90-day warranty extension! A short survey may be required.
  •

  • Nintendo DSi
Nintendo DSi system registrations do qualify for Coins when the system serial number has been registered in Club Nintendo, the associated survey has been completed, and the Nintendo DSi Shop has been linked to your Club Nintendo account (wireless broadband connection required). Click here for more information. The Nintendo DSi will receive the free 90-day warranty extension when the serial number is registered in your Club Nintendo account even if the associated survey and Nintendo DSi link are not completed. The Nintendo DSi does not come with a PIN used for product registration.
  •

  • Nintendo DSi XL
Nintendo DSi XL system registrations do qualify for Coins when the system PIN has been registered in Club Nintendo and the associated survey has been completed. The PIN can be found on an insert included with the system. The Nintendo DSi XL may also qualify for a free 90-day warranty extension when the serial number is registered in your Club Nintendo account.
  •

  • Nintendo DS Lite
Nintendo DS Lite registrations do not qualify for Coins. Nintendo DS Lite owners can register the serial number for their newly purchased system and receive a free 90-day warranty extension! A short survey may be required.
  •

  • All other systems (Nintendo GameCube, Nintendo DS, all Game Boy systems, etc.)
Systems released prior to the Nintendo DSi, Wii, and Nintendo DS Lite do not qualify for Coins or warranty extensions.

Re: what systems can you get coins from?

The insert for the DSiXL is the pin number on the back of the system.  Same thing for the Wii.

Re: what systems can you get coins from?

And you told me where to put in the pin number on the Nintendo DSi XL (the Nintendo DSi shop) but where do you enter the pin number on the Wii? Is there a special place you have to go to in the shop channel like The Nintendo DSi XL? THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!

Don't quote me on this, but I've heard that you can get 160 coins for registering your DS system, (I think it goes for any DS system).

Okay, I looked it up, and it says you can get 100 coins for registering the Wii.

Not any DS system.  I just registered my DS Lite, but it didn't give a coin bonus.  I did the survey anyways though.
