I WAS PLAYING THE WIND WAKER AND SAVED AND SHUT DOWN NORMALLY. WHEN I TURNED THE WII BACK ON AND SELECTED THE GAMECUBE AND THE GAME LOADED NORMALLY, I WENT TO SELECT MY SAVE FILE, AND MY FILE I HAD BEEN WORKING ON FOR THREE YEARS SUDDENLY SAID IT WAS CORRUPT. HELP PLEASE!!!!!!
well, you're probably gonna have to format your gamecube memory card. you will lose all of the data on it though. if you have two memory cards, you might be able to salvage some of the files, but if it's corrupted it has to be erased. sorry...
Have you made sure the card is in securely? Like the poster above said, try copying your Wind Waker files to a different memory card and try loading the save file off the second card.
and by the way, is your memory card official nintendo or 3rd party? the reason why i ask this is because 3rd party gamecube memory cards are notorious for corruption.
I have the 1121 block nintendo memory card. ive been using it forever. since i got my gcube.
well, then i suggest formatting it. do you have a second memory card?
No. i still have over 700 blocks of data left on my chip, so i dont need a new on. if i have to buy a new one i might but it will be a small on
Is it doing this to other games on the same Memory Card as well? If so, formatting is really your best option. If it's just Wind Waker, try deleting the game's data manually.
I really dont want to delete the game files. and Wind Waker is the only game it has ever corrupted a save file on. I want to know if there is any possible way to recover the data. not start it over
Sorry. my mistake. it is the1019 memory card( my bad)
After this happened, did you try going back on again to see if the save file was still there? It might of been just a freak-glitch. They are common with Gamecube games.
Yep. i check every day. it remains corrupted and is file two out of three
I have the same memory card and you made a mistake puting it in the Wii. Because it is formatted to a game cube and once put into a Wii and played with it won't work with the Wii unless deleting all of your data and re-formatted to the Wii.
This is incorrect I put my memory cards in my Wii and gcube and they have never dun dis...
that sa and bites>.<
Hey dude I had the same trouble with a Game Shark Memory card. Let me give you a hint DO NOT PUT GAME SHARK MEMORY CARDS IN A Wii!
Try using a lower capacity memory card. Using 1019 cards on Wiis often cause saves to get corrupted, and on another forum I go on, several people who used 1019 cards even caused their Wii to overheat. So, 1019 cards and Wii don't get along very well.
