I am unable to send a pokemon to the Global link, yes i have internet on the DS after the first time I got on there it always tells me I have to wait a day until I can use it again and it has been 2 days; yes I do have my game synced with my trainer account on pokemon.com
That's odd. Have you tried putting to sleep a different pokemon than you did the first time?
I'm having the same problem, but it is with both my white and black games. Unfurtunately you can't try putting another pokemon to sleep as you are told the sync is out of energy and you have to wait a day for it to recharge. I has now been 42 hours since I was able to use the dreamworld the first time, and on the website it says that it is accesible to me again, but everytime I try to put one of my pokemon to sleep, I am told that I have to wait a day.
I would love to know what the problem is as I can not see what I could be doing wrong at this point. Thank you for your time.
Are you playing on a 3DS?
I found out what is wrong, I had a connecting that was using WPA insted of WEP for my connection, because of that I had my connection as #4 in my DS, and my C-link always had the online glowing red insted of green.
I just spent a good deal of time changing my security to WEP and manualy entering the IP adress and everything ( as my connection was being prickly and it would not do it atomatically) and now my C-Link has a green connection and I can tuck my pokemon in.
If anyone else has thin problem ond also don't have the green connection, this may be your probelm as well.
I hope I have helped. ![]()
Well It worked once and now I can't get in again. I'd really like to know what is going on.
oh and no not a 3ds
AHHHHHHHH!!!! Game Sync isn't working!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MY internet connection is great
It isn't on WPA
And it's been a week now and it's not working!!!!!!!!!!
Lady_Luigi,
Your problem is that you can only access the Dream World once every 24 hours. You must have recently accessed the world and is on a recharge cooldown. I've read that people have been having to wait longer than the 24 hours, but that's what's going on. Just keep trying after the initial 24 hours of your last Dream World access, and you'll eventually get in.
http://techforums.nintendo.com/thread/8289
I have only accessed it once every 24 hours. I tried it on April 13th first. |:
Ah, my apologies for not knowing about your other post. It seems their system is greatly flawed at the moment *shrug*. A lot of users are reporting the same problem, and it doesn't seem to be getting any fixes, nor any response from the company letting us know they're working on it! Hope you can get in soon, good luck!
I've sent in an error report on the Pokemon website, and I've tried tweeting @NintendoAmerica (who totally don't reply to their tweets, despite what their profile says). I'm just trying every option. :3
Yeah, i just looked at their tweets for the past month and they have not tweeted or replied to any one person, it's all just advertising. They really need to do some damage control and atleast tell the consumers they're working on fixes for this huge problem that most people seem to be having.
Yep. I'm going to post something on my thread about that.
They have posted soming in there support center over in the PLG, I had sent in a ticket in and when they finally got around to processing it they sent me a email telling me they were working on my ticket. They also directed me to this page http://support.pokemon.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=15227&task=knowledge&questionID=708 .
It seems it is a large problem and they are working on it. They needed me to tell them additonal info to help them and I added the extra info, they have also added new info fields for people making new tickets.
All in all at least it looks like they are aware of the problem and are working on it now.
I am currently having the same problem, I haven't gone on Pokemon Dream World for 48 hours and I can log on to the website, but it still says I have to wait 24 hours. By the way, I do have a 3DS. It worked one time so far for me, the first time.
So this is what I have gathered from reading these posts and my own experiences.
I have a Lime Green DS Lite and an Aqua Blue 3DS. I alternate playing Pokemon between the two. This is what is most likely my iossue because I cannot connect to Game Sync either. Here is what I know:
1. If you start by playing your game in one system then use it in another system (even if you do not start up the game itself), you get a 24 hour penalty and cannot connect to Game Sync.
2. If you have your game in your DS and you change your hardware settings, you recieve the 24 hour penalty.
3. If you change your system's date, you receive the 24 hour penalty.
4. If you change your system's time you receive the 24 hour penalty.
5. If you already connected to Game Sync already that day (from 12 A.M to11:59 PM the same day) you cannot connect.
6. If you are already in penalty and you change your date or time of your system AGAIN, you receive ANOTHER penalty.
7. Other than these few errors, if you still cannot connect and you didn't do any of the things above then you are part of the select few who are unable to connect to the Game Sync servers at this time.
My first time playing was pitiful because I did not know going to the Tree of Dreams would end my fun so I only got to play for 10 minutes. Then I put my game in my 3DS because my DS Lite battery powered died. Due to this, I experienced the 24 hour penalty. Once my penalty was up, I was one of the select few that could not connect to the server anyway and I STILL have the "must recharge" message showing. It has been nearly three days since the first time I connected. Also, if you are like me and continually reset your 3DS date so you can collect more coins, then you better start playing your game in a different system because you'll never connect to Game Sync! I have accepted this and decided to no longer play Pokemon on my 3DS.
I thought at first the penatly reset itself. Like I thought I checked Game Sync too soon and it restarted my 24 hour penalty period. But I do not believe this is the case.
My closing statement is this: I cannot wait until The Pokemon Team gets better Game Sync servers and makes this game better because right now Dream World is pretty lame. ![]()
the website even suggested that we restart our game i mean how could they even think to post that after finishing the game and earning so many pokemon, it wasnt easy! I just hope they fix this stupid problem fast:- ive only been on game sync once!![]()
Have you used action replay on pokemon white? This can cause game sync to stop working. If you have and it is not working, sadly, you will have to deleat ALL of you save data to get it to work again. If you have to deleat save data, I feel bad for you.
Also, I had the same problem before, but it wasn't from my action replay. I had changed the timeon the system multiple times so I had to wait for quite a while to use it again.
Hope this helps!
FF9ZIDANEGAL has the best response here.
My own experience is:
1. If you haven't gotten you game sync ID or haven't done this before, DO NOT get your ID by tapping the "Game Sync Setting" on the main menu. By doing that the server will mistakenly think you've already connected, giving you a 24 hour penalty even if you didn't even put any Pokemon to sleep.
Instead, do it via C-Gear. That way you can obtain your game sync ID and tuck in a Pokemon without problems.
2. DO NOT switch your cartridge to another DS console, even if you're playing offline. I got myself another 24 hour penalty just by switching systems.
The rest should be common sense if you played Pal Park before, and just like FF9ZIANEGAL said. Don't adjust your DS time, etc.
Every time i connect it says that it is unable to connect or connection error and i can never get any one of my Pokemon to sleep
I havent even gone on game sync once because whenever i try to create data and get my id for game sync it connects ok , but after a while of my ds saying "creating data please wait" it gives me the error code. i went on support and nothing on the whole thing fixed the problem.CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!! All of the online features work perfectly except the game sync ![]()
I'm having the same problem. I did however change my time setting because of daylight savings so that might be the cause. The only other thing that I've done lately was only take the cart out to play soulsilver which I wouldn't imagine to cause a problem. It's very frustrating. If anyone else has any suggestions it would be helpful. until then I guess I gotta wait 24 hours to see if it was because of resetting the clock. ( I really think they should have kept the pokewalker feature for all the newer versions of the game but oh well )
When they say Hardware change does that mean I can't take my game out of the DS without a penalty? That would be a pretty ridiculous reason to trigger a penalty. What? am I supposed to buy another DS exclusevely for White and Black if I want to be able to go to the dream world?
Any input would be appreciated, I know this thread looks kind of old but I figure you all know what's up with this mess. Thanks ![]()
To get more answers for you problem, it would be best to start a new thread becasue of this thread's age and length.
So what I'm getting from the penalty system information here is, I just got a 24 hour penalty because it was Daylight Savings time and I have to change my clock...? That's a wonderful system for sure.
Exactly, you changed the time so the game penalized you.
"But it was because of daylight savings! So unfair!" -- the game doesn't care. It's only a 24-hour penalty so just wait it out.
An easier solution to this Q is to just not mess with the date and time on your chosen DS for the game file at all. It may be tempting to keep the time up to date with daylight savings time but honestly looking at the DS for the accurate time isnt all that important when I am sure you may have a house clock or maybe a cell phone and your computer you could use to check the time. That way you wont ever have to change the time on your DS and wont ever have to get the penalty. Just a suggestion

Firstly, providing personal information, including your name, is against the forum rules.
Secondly, please don't go around bumping old threads. The last time this thread was active was November 2011, about a year ago.
Well first of all, to answer that my personal name isn't Morgana. I don't know why you assumed that and tried to make it sound like it was to try and make it seem that I was breaking any forum rules. Morgana is simply my pen name and solely a name just for this account and forum, in fact I use Morgana as a name on a lot of my sites in place of my actual real life name. I don't post up my personal information or my real name online.
And second I evidently wasn't the only one on this post who "bumped" it and posted onto this old thread because if you look above my post a person named HADAA posted on here too. So because of that I thought well if I see other people doing it on the forum then maybe it is ok to do it.
Are you a forum official moderator, may I ask? Just curious. If so you may wan't to talk to HADAA as well about "bumping" old threads if you are going to single me out. I find that only fair that I am not the only one getting the warning if I am not the only one doing it. And if you are not a forum moderator, meaning no disrespect, I feel it's not exactly your place to come in and mini mod against me trying to be a forum moderator and attacking me. I find that rather silly.
If I am doing something wrong I expected an official moderator to come along and tell me. Not just someone who happens to post on this forum as a contributor. But if you are a mod or an official forum officer then I digress and I understand your concern about my posting on an old thread. To settle this issue I will merely go over to the forum rules section and read it so I don't make any more mistakes. But I highly doubt I have seeing as how if the mods of this forum didnt want any posters to post on the "old" threads and "bump" them then you would think they would simply put a rule up about it or LOCK the thread so no one can post on it. Seeing as how neither of that has occured I think its safe to say I am not in the wrong.
EDIT: So it seems there are no forum rules or anything of the sort to go by on this sites forum. Hmmm... that is curious. If anyone knows where the rules are and can point me in the right direction I would much appreciate it but if there arent any rules to be found then I believe that means I am doing nothing wrong by replying to old threads seeing as it isnt against any rules if no rules on it are to be found. ![]()

While there isn't really a detailed list to cover all of rules for this site, most of it is just common sense and in line with what other family friendly forums expect of their userbase, the above url will take you to the "Terms of Service" which does list some of the major rules here.![]()
I understand ONE-OF-THREE but I dont see anything in that entire page that says ANYTHING about "bumping old threads", do you?
I understand the use of common sense and common curtousy when using internet forums but if you read my posts you will see I was not being beligerant or abusive to anyone and I was not breaking any of the rules outline in the page you just showed me. Therefore I have broken no rules and am still in good standing to be posting on this forum. ![]()

Oh, oh... This is so weird and I didn't notice until now. For some reason this thread popped up on the top page, and I saw the date of Q837's post says November 12. I thought today was the 12th and it was posted just now (this year)! That was just a freak coincedence I guess, didn't mean to bump old thread and truly thought it was posted several hours ago.
It doesnt even matter. "bumping old threads" is not a rule breaker on this site as ONE-OF-THREE showed me. And NightFire5 isnt a forum mod so they dont even need to be going around "policing" posters in this forum like they are.
~Morgana
Dude, we're just saying it, because when a thread is bumped, it makes it hard for people to find their thread on the list. This thread is bound to get locked soon, as we're getting way off-topic. Please stay on-topic.
Don't mention it, HADAA ![]()
In regards to thread bumping, we generally would prefer that old threads not be bumped unless the thread in question was left without an answer, or perhaps it was answered but someone has another solution to the situation. I needed to close a few threads because the bump was only made to add a comment to the situation, not to ask for clarification, or answer the question, or bring about another way to solve the problem. I hope this makes sense.
This thread seemed to get a little heated, but I trust that cooler heads will prevail and we'll get back to tech support. Therefore I'm going to leave this thread open for now. Thanks guys!

I have said a few times that I don't think it's particularly helpful to assume every old post bump is a problem. People often get to this site through search engines and have similar problems, so if someone posts to ask for more advice or clarification on an existing problem, or to say they've found some solution, I don't think they should be warned about bumping. It's really not a problem in that case, and it's probably more helpful to just answer the question.
Sometimes people may go through and post in several old threads without realizing it, but that's a different thing and I can understand posting a quick reminder. Ultimately though, all of this is up to the mods. ![]()
