game freezing problem

hi.  my father just downloaded Let's Golf for his DSi.  he says that every time he gets a birdie, the game freezes, and he has to shut the system down.  is this a common problem with the game, or is it a DSi problem with his system?  what can be done to fix it?  thanks!

It's probably just a small bug in the game. Try deleting the channel data (not the save data) from the DSI, and then redownloading it off the DSIware store again. That usually helps get rid of bugs that sometimes come up in downloaded games.

OK, still need some help.  can somebody walk me thru (step by step) on how to delete the  "channel data", & to re-download the game?  i got a chance to look at the system today, and didnt find any "channel data".  all i could find (under data management) was the system memory for the game.  i wasnt sure if this was the "Channel Data" or the "Save Data", so i left it alone.  i just dont want to unintentionally erase his game.
