**I DID THIS ALL ON MY WII** So, I bought my first Gamecube game which is Animal Crossing. I got my gamecube controller and my gamecube memory card 1019. Plug it in, start playing, save and quit, next time I play it corrupts. This is the 7th time I have resetted my town and now I am just sick of it. I did some research and it turns out this was a common one to corrupt with the Wii. Is there any way to fix it or is it fried and I should just get a different memory card? I am very disappointed ![]()
you could try formatting the memory card, but if you do that and it's still corrupt, unfortunately you will need a new memory card. sorry.
To add to what earthbound said before you format your memory card make sure that all of your stuff is saved elsewhere. That way nothing will be deleted. (Hopefully.) ![]()
the memory card is most likely fried you sould buy a new one u can get one on ebay![]()
im sorry,
but your memory card is dead in a ditch. this was caused probably by your wii being in standby (orange light) sending power to it constantly, causeing it to short out from heat.
it happened to me, also. you will need to buy a new memory card, also all of your saves are gone,
i am very sorry for your loss,
bone
Is this a third party card? If so, then that could be the problem. I used a third party and got this all the time. Switched to an actual Nintendo GameCube card and the problem stopped.
You should probably buy the 251 card because it doesn't corrupt on the Wii that often. 1019+Wii with Wii Connect 24= fried memory card Youtube link to Wii fried my 1019 memory card:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ALuSoz9WwlU
