I just got a new TV and wanted to hook up my Wii. The back of the TV looks a little different from my old one but it all labeled. I hooked up my Wii and everything was going great until I turned it on. When I turned it on it was making all the sounds and I could see the picture, but it was showing up in black and white and not color. I tried plugging it into different slots but nothing worked. I need help please, thanks.
Try looking at this page (click here) and see if that helps. ![]()
OK that link you gave me is telling me to switch the input select from a component signal to a standard AV signal. How do I go about doing that? Thanks
It depends on your TV model. I would start looking in the TV's settings menu for an option. If you still have trouble, you can post your TV make and model and that may help. ![]()
Yeah I'm still having trouble. The TV I have is a Samsung and the model is LN32A300J1D
Thank you so much for all of the help!
This page (click here) suggests that you need to use the "AV IN 1" input with composite cables, so that may be the issue. And no problem. ![]()
Nope, it's still in black and white.
Check that "AV" is the selected input source, and not 'Component 1." ![]()
I don't think my TV has an AV as an pick.
you may want to call nintendo at 1-800-255-3700.
The manual for your TV which is on this page (click here) states that you should use the "Source" button on your remote to choose from "TV, AV, Component1, Component2, PC, HDMI1, HDMI2." I would check to see if it shows up that way. ![]()
That actually sounds awesome.
