On Dillons Rolling Western in the 4th stage with the bird mayor theres a quest that says destroy 5 or more grocks 3 times with a bomb. I took the quest and the following day i bought 3 bombs from the town and destroyed 3 full hp footgrock squads. When i went back to check the progress, it said i destroyed 0/3 grocks and i did it again the next day but it still said 0/3. I ended up failing the mission, is it a glitch or did i do something wrong? ( I tried googling it but i couldnt find any walkthrough's)

I suggest that you take a look at this walkthrough. You are most likely missing something, so be sure to check out that level.

That walkthrough is for the first level, i need the 4th one and i couldnt find one for the 4th level on youtube... ( yes i checked the guy's videos and the highest level he did was the 3rd)

I did some more searching and I can't find any walkthrough with the fourth stage, but I also can't find anyone else with this problem, so I assume it is an isolated glitch. If you are absolutely sure that you have done everything you can to complete this mission, then I suggest that you delete the game in the system memory and then redownload it. This often gets rid of glitches like this.

but im all the way up to stage 8, will the progress be deleted too?

Unfortunately, yes, save data will be deleted. Be absolutely sure that you have done everything that you can to complete the level, since deleting and then redownloading the game is the last resort.
