ive already looked through everything please can you tell me how to get to the verizon fios section or tell me a step by step guide please?!!!
Since you have tried everything, give Nintendo another call, or else- YOU'RE DOOMED!
You can also send them a webform for written instructions.
Are there any firewalls blocking the DSi?
whats a firewall and how would i change those settings?
It is different with each router. Please give me the name (NOT SSID) of your router.
M1424-WR
You know what you should do? Is your internet connected? Are you close to your internet? Your internet does not work when your far away from home. Try check to see what happens.
ok everything is ok its something with the DSI but it workd everywhere else with other wifi's just not with my verizon one for some dumb/odd reason
Probably your router either isn't compatible with your NintendoDS or you need to change a few settings which I'll tell you which ones if you want.
please do
I need the brand name of your router.
M1424-WR and its verizon fios and its actionetec i dont know if that the right spelling of actionetec but its that name but it might not be spelled right
Please check out everything on this page. Otherwise, refer to my earlier reply written now in red.
i already have and the first time i looked at it i didnt know what to do and now when the screen pops up i type in the ssid fine and then when i goto type in the password it duplicates the letter by 3 so it goes 333 when i put in 3 and if i do backspace it delets 4 numbers and ive tried to do it on all the computers in my house and the same thing happens
you may have to set manual IP address settings. If your router supports it, try using your DSi with DMZplus mode, which assigns your DSi a new IP every time it starts.
dmz plus????and ive tried doing the manual connect with the gateway the other stuff nothing seems to work but explain DMZplus
Its working for me now in my DSI-XL with Verizon FIOS, I tried manual connection in DSI-XL and entered all the values from running the command ipconfig/all on RUN==>CMD screen
IP Address
Subnet Mask
Gateway
DNS Servers
Secondary DNS servers
The IP address you are going to assign to the Nintendo DSI-XL must be 10 digits higher than the PC's. (e.g., 192.168.1.100 becomes 192.168.1.110)
i figured out how to do it and i got it to work thanks for the help guys it wasn't the stuff that you told me but i found out how to connect it
so yayay
