I've been having trouble posting things to my Wii's Message Board for a month or so, everytime I attempt posting a memo the background goes black and in white text it says the system files are corrupted (no error code), same thing will happen when posting photos on occasion, but I don't post photos that often. I'm not having any other problems I'm aware of, no problems connecting to the internet or reading game discs or saved data, I can't find anything about this type of thing anywhere else. I don't want to send it in to get it fixed because I'd rather live with a bad message board than lose all my data. So is there anyway this problem could be fixed some other way without losing all my data, or some setting I'm completely unaware of that got tinkered with sometime in the last 6 months? I'd appreciate your help!

Hello, PANCAKE_LOVER, and welcome to the Tech Support Forums. As far as I know of regarding any kind of corruption of the Wii's console's memory, you would have to send it in to Nintendo for repairs. Nintendo may be able to retain your gameplay data for you in the process, but it depends on how bad the corruption is within the system memory itself. If you wish to discuss this with Nintendo regarding a repair or available options, you may do so over the phone at 1-800-255-3700 from the hours of 6am - 7pm, Pacific Time, 7 days a week or via email at nintendo@noa.nintendo.com.

Thank you for your help. I heard from a friend this might be a result of a faulty update to version 4.2. Guess I need to rethink my internet connection. :3
