A friend of mine bought a Wii for her two boys for christmas, and since they started playing with them the knob and connecting wire  have started turning pink. She assured me that the boys haven't been into koolaid or anything that may have turned them pink... Has anyone ever heard of this happening?

As other have said you should call Nintendo, however until they have discovered what is making them do this I would not use the pink controllers. Who knows what kind of chemical could be making this happen.

That's so AWESOME.

Okay, it seems to be an issue with the polycarbonate used, and not Nintendo's products themselves. Apple's Macbooks have a similar issue.

Have the nunchucks been heavily used, or exposed to UV Radiation? Both of those were offered as explanations as to why Macbooks were discolored, and since MacBooks are made of polycarbonate too, I'm wondering if it would be the same situation.

I heard that use a Q-tip dipped in bleach can clean it up.

I've heard of it turning yellow due to dirty hands. But, this doesn't seem right. Unless they have super pink skin or eat some pink food, then I would consider this a big problem. Something poisonous could be happening.

Dang, that is something I have never seen and I have owned my Wii since October and have played it extensively. I would defintely call up Nintendo and see what is happening. Give us a response on what they said if you do. :smileyhappy:
