I saw that it wasn't listed on the list of apps that were non-transferable. The thing is, apps like Nintendo DSi Browser are listed as untransferable, it's quite obvious that you wouldn't be able to transfer it. If Pictochat isn't transferable, then why would it not be on there? But anyway, does anyone know if you can't transfer it?
PictoChat, like the Nintendo DSi Browser, was a part of the Nintendo DSi's software from the start. It isn't a downloadable app, so you won't find it in the Nintendo DSi Shop, and you cannot transfer it to a Nintendo 3DS.
Actually when the Nintendo DSi was first released, you had to download the Nintendo DSi Browser from the DSi Shop. It wasn't pre-installed like PictoChat was.
BRANDOS12, you are right, only newer versions of the DSi will have the browser already installed.
The reason you can't transfer the Pictochat it's because Nintendo DOES NOT WANT to have it on the 3DS.
Pictochat can't be transferred to your Nintendo 3DS. Most games downloaded on the Nintendo DSi Shop Channel can be transferred. But games that are built-in to the system cannot be transferred.
PictoChat isn't even DSiWare.
Plain and simple, you can’t transfer it.
