Message 0000FEFE received at startup

On my friends dsi, when you turn it on it says Message 0000FEFE. What happened to it?

i've seen this before. i'm sorry, but your dsi will need to be repaired. call nintendo at 1-800-255-3700.

Unfortunately, the 0000FEFE error code means that your friend's system needs to be repaired.

Nintendo DSi & Nintendo DSi XL - Message 0000FEFE received at startup

 

If both screens on your Nintendo DSi or Nintendo DSi XL go blank except for the message 0000FEFE when you turn on your system, then your system will need to be repaired. Please click here to determine your repair options.
