So I went to this exhibit at a local museum that had 3DS units on display. I checked and saw that the wireless on them was on. The only problem is that my 3DS didn't seem to pick them up. I was in range for about an hour. No streetpass. So I checked one of the unit's streetpass plaza and it had miis from streetpass in it. So this must mean that my 3DS has a problem. Streetpass is on, wireless switch on. What's going on?
There are a variety of reasons why this could occur. StreetPass cannot happen in situations such as one of the systems being online, certatin software running while the system is open, being in DS mode, or when about 8 hours hasn't passed since the last StreetPass tag between those specific systems. In order to tell if there really was an issue I would need more information.
Yes I have gotten many. But I am unable to rehit people with Streetpass due to sending in my system for repairs, though I can still hit people once. Come to think of it, I haven't gotten a streetpass since I got a protective shell for my system. It doesn't seem like it would hamper streetpass communications, but do you think this could be the problem?
You can find the shell here
