So I went to this exhibit at a local museum that had 3DS units on display. I checked and saw that the wireless on them was on. The only problem is that my 3DS didn't seem to pick them up. I was in range for about an hour. No streetpass. So I checked one of the unit's streetpass plaza and it had miis from streetpass in it. So this must mean that my 3DS has a problem. Streetpass is on, wireless switch on. What's going on?
There are a variety of reasons why this could occur. StreetPass cannot happen in situations such as one of the systems being online, certatin software running while the system is open, being in DS mode, or when about 8 hours hasn't passed since the last StreetPass tag between those specific systems. In order to tell if there really was an issue I would need more information.
The systems were not online, the only software running was on the system I checked that was on display and it was running Streetpass Mii Plaza, it was most definitly not in DS mode, and I had never tagged these systems before. Does that help?
Yes I have gotten many. But I am unable to rehit people with Streetpass due to sending in my system for repairs, though I can still hit people once. Come to think of it, I haven't gotten a streetpass since I got a protective shell for my system. It doesn't seem like it would hamper streetpass communications, but do you think this could be the problem?
You can find the shell here
That case may be the problem. I know for sure that there are some metals which can block a wireless signal, but I don't know for sure if aluminum is one of them. You should try to get a StreetPass tag without the case to check if that is the problem.
First of all the streetpass have a limit of 10 tags
after that you have to open the plazas and welcome the Mii to get new tags...
Then you will get yours.
Either your 3DS or The ones in display was full at that moment...
