Wii will not power up

I have not played my Wii in several months.  Yesterday, my daughter wanted play Wii and couldn't.  The Wii console would not power up.  We checked all wires and leads, no luck with power up. Unplugged the entire Wii and took to an alternate plug in, and still no luck with power up. Pushed and held the reset button but nothing happened.

It just did not seem like any power was getting to the Wii. I was thinking that the Wii power adaptert may have gone bad, and that may be the reason for no power. Anyone else have the problem with simply not getting any power to the Wii console?  Or no power up no matter what?

Thanks.

Re: Wii will not power up

The first thing you should try is buying a new AC adaptor. If that doesn't work, then calling Nintendo at 1-800-255-3700 is a good idea.

Before trying another AC adapter or calling Nintendo you should try the troubleshooting on this page (click here.) It is possible that the AC adapter just needs to be reset.
