Wii Shop Linking

I linked my wii shop to club nintendo account somewhere around Oct 22nd or 23rd to get the 40 coins for linking accounts.  I waited couple days and never received the coins in my account.  I realized I had not registered my wii system which I thought might be the cause; so I registered the system (received 160 coins) then deleted and relinked wii to club nintendo on Oct 27th (the deadline for 40coins reward).  I still have not received 40 coins and was wondering if this is still a problem that occurs or possible glitch in the system?

The 40 bonus coins you could earn was for linking your Nintendo 3DS's eShop account to your Club Nintendo account. There are no bonus coins to be earned by linking your Wii Shop Channel or Nintendo DSi Shop accounts to your Club Nintendo account.

Hmm, thought the Oct 27th deadline showed coins for all systems that could be linked but now the original post on club nintendo site is obviously gone.  That sucks, oh well.
