just bought super mario galaxy and cabela's big game hunter 2012, and once it is loaded for game play, the remote and sensor bar does not want to work with each other. this is very nerve racking. cannot figure problem out. we use a wireless sensor bar, went bought new one, not the problem. other wireless devices not the problem, no light issues either.the other game we have that play like these is avatar and we can play the game, it responds with no issues. lost, need help before hammer comes into play.
are you using the new wii remote with the wii motion plus inside?
no, the four remotes we have are, 1 that came with the console, about 2 years old, 1 that was bought extra at the same time and 2 that was bought about 1 year ago that had the motion adapter that affixed to the bottom of the remote,
Try re-syncing the Wiimote using these steps: http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/assets/js/doc_frame.jsp?f=/systems/wii/en_na/includes/rvl-ht-sys-remote-sync-standard.jsp&l=
Also, make sure that the Wiimote's batteries are not dead.
already did hard resyning for the remotes, everthing has new batteries, tried all four remotes.the only way that it senses any motion is if you get right up to the sensor bar to the right side of it and then that's difficult to get a response out of it.
well, if your using the wii motion plus you should try calibrating it. if not, do what machbiker said.
i've have went to wii menu reset sensor bar location, adjust sensor bar sensitivity as well.
Try these positioning tips for the sensor bar: http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/assets/js/doc_frame.jsp?f=/systems/wii/en_na/includes/rvl-ht-sys-sensor-connect.jsp&l=
You could try using a regular Sensor Bar with a wire, but this is probably not the problem. Since more than one sensor bar does not work, then it might be a problem with your Wii. You can schedule a repair by calling Nintendo at 1800-255-3700 (6am-7pm, Pacific Time, 7 days a week).
don't believe there is a problem with the wii, could be but very doubtful. just for info, the wii has the latest update, checked it again last night, well this morning. i just don't understand how the avatar game works with no problem (this game uses the remote and nunchuk just as the other two new games)
Could it be that those two new games are pirated?
I should note that the sensor bar has nothing to do with any of the motion controls, it just sends out infrared light that the Wii Remote picks up for the pointing functionality. You can look at this page (click here) and try completely clearing the Wii Remote syncs, then re-syncing again. If it's just the pointing that doesn't seem to be working, you can test to see if the sensor bar is working properly by looking at it (while it is on) through the LCD screen of a camera, which will be able to pick up the IR light that it emits. Otherwise, this page (click here) offers a number of tips you should go through to double-check that everything is set up properly.
