System Transfer Question

Ok, so, once every year, my family has a christmas party, and my cousin wanted me to give him some of my apps. I sais yes, but when I tried to transfer, my 3Ds said that if I transfer, I will lose all data....... WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

 

Also, will I keep the things that I transfer?

 

 

 

SO CONFUSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your eShop information, all downloaded games, and Ambassador status (if you have it) will all be transferred to the other system.  You will not be able to use any of these things again on your 3DS.

 

I highly recommend that you go to this site: http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/3ds/en_na/data_transfer.jsp for detailed information on what is transferred.  It should clear up any confusion.
