Does the 3DS Support SDXC Cards?

Does anyone know what the maximum speed the 3DS supports? And does the 3DS support SDXC cards?

And same question with the Wii. Does the Wii support SDXC cards? And what class speed does it support?

I'm just wondering so I don't end up buying a big memory storage for my 3DS that doesn't work.

The 3DS currently only supports SDHC (32 GB).  A later revision might support SDXC but it is unlikely.

Re: Does the 3DS Support SDXC Cards?

Although Nintendo does not specifically say so for either the 3DS or Wii, the highest SD card speed that should be used for these kinds of electronics is Class 10.  That kind of speed isn't really necessary even if you are copying many songs or pictures on the card to your PC; my SD card has Class 2 speed.

SDXC cards aren't supported, but regular SD cards can be up to 2 GB and SDHC cards can be up to 32 GB.
