can't connect using "search for access point"

It always says that "The access point's security settings are not supported by the nintendo ds".

What do I have to do to fix this ?

I am using the Linksys WRT54G.

& I also can't connect to 192.168.1.1

It says

  • The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few

    moments.

 

  • If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network

    connection.

 

  • If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure

    that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

What sort of security are you using on your router?

 

Some types, such as WPA are not supported.

 

The easiest solution if you are using WPA encryption would be to switch to another security mode, such as WEP.

DENAAAA, try typing this on your browser (192.168.1.2) and see if it works.

@_TANIS_ i'm using WPA. how do i change it to WEP?

 

@DARKRIA_LV2 mmm, it doesnt work.

Find your IP address. Easily done by googling Find ip address.  go http://(PUT IP ADDRESS HERE) on Web browser.

Know your user and pass: normally admin and admin, admin and password or admin and blank in password.

Go to wireless and change it to WEP 64bit or 128bit.

It appears that you have tried the default login information, please use the information below to determine how to login to your router's settings.  Please note that it will be vary depending on whether you are using Windows or a Mac.

 

Windows Users:

  1. Hold down the Windows button, and press "R".
  2. The run command prompt box will appear. In this window, type in "CMD" and hit enter.
  3. On this black screen (command prompt), type "ipconfig/all" and hit enter.
  4. Use the "Default Gateway" information to login to your router settings.


Mac Users:

  1. Access your System Preferences.
  2. Select Internet and Network.
  3. Then click the Network icon (small globe).  The following screen should appear:
  4. Use the 'Router" information to login to your router settings.
