My SD card data won't show up on my 3DS

Hello. My sd card has hundreds of my 3ds data on it like apps, game data, and ability to download stuff from the eshop. One day i had my sd card in my DsiXL and when i took it out, it broke really badly. I can still put it in a computer and see data, but when i put  it in any of my Nintendo software, it doesn't show up. I tried transfering the damage SD card data to a new one, but it doesn't transfer stuff like apps or data from streetpass or Mariokart 7. I really want to have my SD card transfered so I can play my games again. I read how to transfer between 2 SD cards but its only pictures and music.

Thanks to whoever can answer

You should make sure to copy every folder inside the SD card to the new one.

Re: My SD card data won't show up on my 3DS

Follow these steps to copy your game data:

  1. Insert the SD card with the Nintendo 3DS data into the SD card slot or the SD card reader/writer.
  2. Open Windows Explorer (for PC) or Finder (for Mac) and access the SD card.
  3. Highlight the data and drag it to the desktop.
  4. Eject the first SD card.
  5. Insert the second SD card into the slot or reader/writer.
  6. Using Windows Explorer or Finder, locate and access the SD card again.
  7. Drag the data from the desktop to the second SD card.

Note that the folder you will be copying is the Nintendo 3DS folder.  The folder that says DCIM is the one with photos and videoes.  Be careful not to alter or delete any files within the Nintendo 3DS folder; you just copy it whole.

Also, welcome to the forums.
