I just got the Netflix disk yesterday.
I watched a TV episode that was 50 minutes long with no problem. Then later, I was watching a 22 minute episode of something else and the Wii turned off at about the 20 minute mark. I tried again and it cut off after about 10 minutes. This morning, I had a movie on and after about 50 minutes, it just turned off again.
There is no problem when I'm playing a game at all.
I'm not sure how to proceed. Everything is fine as far as connection. It's not skipping around or anything, the wii just turns off. Any ideas are appreciated. I can't find any info about this problem.
Probably it would be best to give a call to Nintendo's 1-800-255-3700 (6 am ~ 7 pm Pacific, everyday) Customer Service number and they will be able to do some troubleshooting with you over the phone to determine what the problem is (Netflix, your console or something else) and be able to get Netflix working perfectly for you.:)
ugh, I was afraid of that. I've googled the issue and only see one mention (some guy who left a comment on a blog had the issue). The only other time I found something like this was when it would shut off when someone was playing a game. Their solution was to get a new game disk so I ordered a new netflix disk just to rule that out.
