Famicom Voltage Converters?

So, I just got a Famicom. The guy at the counter said that before I play it, I need a voltage converter. I was wondering, where can you find voltage converters for a Famicom? I check and check and check, but all I find are online stuff. Can someone PLEASE tell me where I can find one at a store?

Re: Famicom Voltage Converters?

Well, I doubt that GameStop or another gaming franchise would have what you are looking for, since they deal mainly with new game systems. Where I would go would be a local used game store. The ones near where I live have pretty near to EVERYTHING game related that I need. If you live in Canada, you might have fewer, but there is more of a chance of finding one within the states.

Re: Famicom Voltage Converters?

The original Famicom uses an external power adapter. Your country's suitable equivalent would take up less money and space, than trying to find a voltage converter.

Do you know what the voltage rating is? Just find an ac adapter with the same end and ratings. You can order voltage converters on amazon.com too.
