My dsi connects to the internet, through the web, fine. But, when it comes to my pokemon heartgold it wont connect. It says " The access point's security settings are not supported by Nintendo DS" Please Help!!!!!
This involves the security settings on the wireless router you're using. You're most likely using WPA, which is supported by DSis, but only works with DSi-specific things, like the web browser, Flipnote Hatena, WFC DSiWare games, etc. To remedy this, you'll have to access the security settings of your router and change it to WEP. (If asked to decide between a 64-bit or a 128-bit password/passkey, go with 128, as it's safer. Most likely obvious, but I'd like to point it out.)
Your router is probably set to WPA and that setting only works with DSi exclusive software. Games that will work on all DS generations (DS phat, DS lite, DSi) do not support WPA Wi-Fi settings.
