CAN'T CONNECT TO NINTENDO ESHOP

IT'S DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!

 

My internet connection works perfectly fine. The web browser within the Wii U works, along with everything else internet related within the Wii U. But for some reason, I am having trouble connecting to the Nintendo eShop. I keep getting a 111-9000 error code...but every 10 tries or so, I get to the main menu of the store, and then another error code pops up immediately. So far I've gotten 111-9000, 103-1006, 111-9001, 105-4235, 108-0144, 111-1056 and 104-4206, 111-9000 being the most reoccuring one. I tried connecting earlier today, and then it didn't work. So then I thought I would try again about 5 hours later, and I am getting the same problem. I've read through the trouble shooting articles, and done every step given to me to try and figure out this issue. Like, resetting my router..inputting IP and other stuff in manually...making a new internet connection..etc...all to no avail. Someone please help me before I smash my Wii U for being so incompetent.

I have the same problem with my 3ds since 2 days ago, all works fine except the eshop and the applications related to it (ie in FE inside game when you want to purchase dlc appears a connection error). I thought is a problem with the server (I'm in latin america and many friends have the same error), hope fix it soon T_T

Hey I was having the same issue and while surfing the net for a solution I found this. It help me so maybe it'll help you too.

 

 

Re: Error 111-9000: eShop refuses to load

So  I figured out what the problem was with the Error 111-9000 code. What  actually was the problem was the power to the Wii U. I recently bought  an extra power supply unit. (those things with extra outlets) and when i  had the wii u plugged into it..I noticed my Netflix wasn't working and  the Eshop wasn't working either. Thus getting the error code message. So  I tried messing with the internet and nothing seemed to work. So I took  out the extra power supply unit and plugged the Wii U directly into the  home outlet and everything was perfect again. And just to check that it  wasn't some freak lucky fix I tried it again with the extra power  supply unit and sure enough it wouldn't work. So if you have your Wii U  plugged into some extra outlet remove it and try a home outlet. If that  doesn't work then you're not getting enough power to your console

 


Hope this helped.

 

I  also may post a video on youtube on how to fix it because there is  literally no information anywhere on how to actually fix this problem.

 

 

Also If you have an external hard drive that doesn't have its own power supply it may also be sapping energy from the Wii U and causing this Error.

As of December 25-26 the Wii eShop is down. This is frustrating to say the least for people who bought WiiU's as Christmas gifts and who need to download software to make them fully functional. Nintendo needs to notify us when the shop is fixed.
