WPA2-PSK (TKIP) not available?

I am trying to connect my wii online so I can redownload  the games I had bought before. (and to buy new ones) but the internet won't connect. Is the WPA2-PSK (TKIP) not compatible? There is a WPA2-PSK (AES) and a WPA-PSK (TKIP) available in the connections but not the one I need. What can I do to fix this?

I pretty sure that WPA2-PSK (TKIP) is not compatible with Wii.

Re: WPA2-PSK (TKIP) not available?

According to the WEP/WPA/WPA2 FAQ, the Wii is compatible with the following WPA security modes-

  • WPA - PSK (TKIP)
  • WPA - PSK (AES)
  • WPA2 - PSK (AES)

So I would go with the WPA-PSK (TKIP) mode.
