How much memory can the 3DS XL hold at maximum? And what type of SD card should I buy and where?

GameStop or Best Buy or where else? And what brand should I buy? Also does this hinder system performance? I want to take this thing to the LIMIT with all of my downloads.

The 3DS XL comes with a 4GB SD card, but the 3DS/3DS XL can support up to 32GB SDHC cards.

Sandisk is a good brand for SD cards. You don't need a Class 10 card or anything, unless you plan on transferring a lot of files via the PC.

I have a Class 4 SDHC 32GB from Sandisk, it works just fine.

Where can/should I buy these at? GameStop? Best Buy? Which has the best deal?

I suggest Amazon. My card was around $20-$25.

That takes forever. Do they sell these at GameStop/Best Buy? And what specific brand should I buy? Amazon is annoying.

Takes forever? I chose 2 day shipping. Arrived in 2 days. Hardly "forever".

Last I checked, Gamestop did not sell SD cards (and if they did, it was like 4GB for $25, which is a rip off)

Best Buy sells SD cards. Don't know the pricing.

32 GB is the largest Nintendo has tested. Others may work at your own risk using FAT32.

256 GB is out there, but hundreds of dollars...
