Can Wii connect to Mobile Hotspot on the Evo?

I am able to do a auto setup and the Wii can see my Evo's Hotspot, but when the connection test is run, it gives me error 51030; cannot find SSID.  I tried to enter the settings in manually and here is what the settings are:

Type of Security:  WEP

Auto-Obtain IP Address: No > Advanced Settings > IP: 192.168.003.100  Subnet: 255.255.255.000  Default Router: 192.168.003.254

Auto-Obtain DNS: No > Advanced Settings > Primary DNS: 192.168.003.254

Proxy Server: Don't Use

MTU Value: 0 (default)

The SSID is showing up exactly as it is in the settings on my phone.  I even returned everything back to the default settings on my phone and tried it that way, still get the same error about not finding the SSID, even though it finds it when I do Auto-IP but won't connect.

HELP!

Thanks,

NB

Re: Can Wii connect to Mobile Hotspot on the Evo?

It should work fine, but I'm afraid that not many people have experience with it so we may not be of much help.

I noticed that you are manually assigning an IP address. Is there any reason? Have you tried automatically assigning one?

Have you tried connecting to the Evo with another device?
