dsi & water damage

My son's dsi xl got drenched by a spilled water bottle.  There is water in the screens.  What can be done to save it.   Can it be dried out?  It still works.

Re: dsi & water damage

When an electronic device comes in contact with water, follow these steps.

First, NEVER try to turn it on. Take out the battery and unplug the device immediately. Doing so will significantly increase your chances of saving it.

Then put the device in a bag of uncooked instant rice. Keep it in the bag for 2 days. After two days, take it out and try turning on again! The instant rice will help suck out the moisture.

If the water is gone and everything works fine, then congratulations! If not, you can set up a repair by contacting Nintendo at 1-800-255-3700.
