Hi, I need help! My son's DS doesn't recognize games anymore... When I look in the game slot, I see one of the contacts that look bent and longer than the others... Kind of ''unclipped''...
What can I do about that?
The bent contact may be the problem. However, there is also the possibility that the game slot is simply dirty. You might want to try cleaning the inside of it with a soft, thin object such as the bristles on a toothbrush. Those bristles would probably be too short to reach the depths of the slot, though, so try and search for a similar object. Try to avoid solid objects like paper clips.
If that fails, it would be best to send your Nintendo DS to Nintendo to get it repair. Do not try and repair the bent contact yourself, as you may end up damaging the insides even more.
the best thing to do is try and clean the slot by blowing into it with a can of compressed air. if that doesn't work, the bent contact is probably the problem and your ds will need a repair. call nintendo at 1-800-255-3700.
That confirmes what I was thinking... I will get it repair! One gave me the number for Nintendo... Do I have to ship it to get repaired or they will give me nome of places close to where I live?
A guy here could change it while I'm waiting at his shop... 35$ for a brand part and installation... Sounds good, no?
