No WI-FI signal from ARRIS router

I can't get a working signal for my Wii. Our router would give me the signal, but it does not give off wi-fi signals! Our router is an ARRIS from SUDDENLINK. I've tried a wi-fi usb port (not Nintendo brand), did nothing. I am trying a usb link up-type wi-fi source, but it does not work for systems. What can I do to get that signal?

I believe that your problem is that the Arris device is not a router. The Arris device is only a modem, which converts a cable or telephone signal from your service provider to an internet signal. You then need a router to provide WiFi or ethernet ports for multiple devices.

 

Popular router brands include D-Link, Netgear, or Linksys
