I have Dish Satelite, and a surround sound system. I see no audio outputs on the Wii to connect it to the surround sound. I run the Wii through the TV. I did audio out of the TV into the surround sound and the Wii sound doesn't come through. How can I get the surround sound speakers to work with the Wii so we can have good Rock Band music?
The red and white plugs (next to the yellow plug or next to the rgb plugs if you are using component cables) are the Wii's audio outputs. You should be able to simply connect the audio outputs to your sound system and the video outputs to your TV.
Because of the common confusion between digital and analog surround sources I recently wondered if I had my system setup correctly. I found this link on the dolby website. Note the steps below the second diagram. Hopefully that helps.
playing wii on a sorround sound would really be a whole new experience. that would be like playing inside the game itself.cool.
