Is the Motion Plus attachment needed with Wii Motion Plus remote?

All of my remotes have Motion Plus built in. When I bought the Resort game it came with the Motion Plus attachment. Does it help to use the attachement with the new controlers or is it pointless?

The attachment's not necessary if your remotes are all wii remote pluses.

I would suggest selling the Wii MotionPlus. $$$$$$$
