Wii Buzzing

I was playing Super Smash Brothers Brawl in co-op mode, when the game froze and made a very loud buzzing noise. I had to unplug the Wii to shut it off.

Is this a common problem? My disc and Wii are both in near perfect shape.

It happens. Your Wii and game are probably just fine. If it happens every time you play a game, that's different...

Although the game has never once frozen for me, I'm sure it was just the fact the you were playing with 4 people, items are flying everywhere, the stage is doing gimmicks, and then it just froze. If the game keeps freezing after that however, then I would suggest sending the game into Nintendo fo repairs.
