This is a bizarre error I've run into.

Last night my controllers were working fine. Today however I'm seeing my controllers all having the same general problem with the 1 button. For example I'm currently playing Legend of Zelda on the VC. When I try to use any of my secondary items, none of them work. But if I hit the home button, then press the 1 button, the items will work (i.e. I place a bomb, use my boomerang, candle, etc.)

I've tested this out in a series of other games and found the same button on four different controllers – two regular ones and two Wii Motion Plus controllers – to not be functioning. To add to this, when I plug in a classic controller, every button works fine except, you guessed it, the B button.

It seems to be a software issue of some sort and I'm worried my system may be experiencing some severe difficulties from my Netflix use. For some reason when I quit Netflix, I occasionally run into an error saying my system files have corrupted. I can restart my Wii several times afterward and be greeted with the same error. I'm wondering if the two are somehow connected.
