Can't access eShop: Error Code 005-5819

Hello Nintendo Tech Support!

 

I've updated my Nitnendo 3DS to the latest firmware, tested out the new web browser without problems...

But, the moment I click on the eShop, it tries to connect and I get error code "005-5819"

 

That error code says it's related to not being able to reach the access point, but like I said the browser works fine.

 

I've tried over and over and over... but I have never been able to connect to the eShop.

The only thing I could think of (being a tech myself) would be some sort of conflict with all 3 access points (Home, Work and my Friend) that I have saved in my 3DS settings.

 

I'm from Canada if that helps.. I would really like help solving his problem!

I have the same problems. After the update I could never access the eShop once. I always get the error code 005-5819. Only once I got 005-4800.

 

In the comments of this blog entry, dozens of people report the same problem, with this code:

There are people which have two 3DS. One has access to the shop one has not with the error code 005-5819.

 

The working 3DS had a serial number starting with CEH...., and the one which didn't worked had the serial starting with CEM...

 

Mine has also a serial starting with CEM... and doesn't have access to the eShop.

I've been having the exact same problem, and I've tried evetrything from changing DNS server to MTU to changing my 3DS's region setings. No dice. I really wish NIntendo would be more helpful, because as of yet I've simply been told to send in my 3DS for repairs.

 

If it matters, I'm from Canada as well.

My ISP is Bell, so yeah. It could have to do with that. It's worth noting that the eShop is not yet functional in Switzerland and they're getting error code 005-5819 as well.

I from Puerto Rico and I buy a ecard today, when I try to enter the store the evil code 005-5819 appears, since I want download my games badly I try several times and in the try number 18!!!! finally connect to the store and download mario land and zelda, I just come very close to me wifi routers and the connecction become more stable but still lose connection and error 005-5819 hope nintendo fix it because I have an old PSP GO and never loose the connection.
