Downloading a Cartoon

When we purchased our son his Nintendo DS XL - they told us we would be able to download cartoons onto his DS.  That said, however, we've been unable to figure out how to do this.  Can someone shed some light this or are there DS cartridges sold with cartoons on them?  Thanks in advance for your help.

Did they mean flipnotes?

There is an application on the DSi and DSiXL called Flipnote Studio.  If you connect to the internet, you can see and download flipnotes that other people have made.

Other than that, there aren't any cartoons.

You can download user created flipnotes in the Flipnote Hatena, but other than that, there is no way to get cartoons on the internet that you can view on the DSi.  Sometimes salesmen say things that aren't true....

they used to have cartoons in GBA cartridges, but i've never heard of them being in ds carts.

Well if you use an original Nintendo DS or a Nintendo DS Lite then you can put one of these Game Boy Advance cartridges that plays cartoons in your Game Boy Advance slot on your Nintendo DS or on your Nintendo DS Lite. This way you can watch cartoons on your Nintendo DS or your Nintendo DS Lite but this is the only way it is possible to view cartoons on your Nintendo DS or your Nintendo DS Lite.
